Klingele Papierwerke relies on DAS Energy PV modules

Sustainability is nothing new for the packaging company Klingele in Germany. For years, it has invested in the principle of sustainability along the entire value chain; from packaging development - and production, to the selection of machinery and materials, and of course recycling. The sustainable electricity for the production comes from its own mix of different renewable energy sources such as wind energy, power plant and photovoltaics.

DAS Energy is all the more pleased to be part of Klingele's sustainable energy concept. In spring, DAS Energy's installation team installed 1777 11x6M 330kW PV modules on the industrial roof of the corrugated cardboard plant in Germany within one month. With a generator area of 2606 m2, this achieves 445 kWp of installed power.

The light and flexible PV modules were directly glued to the roof cladding (PVC foil). This type of installation shortens the working time many times over and allows easy handling.

The PV modules can now save up to 146 tons of CO2 per year - DAS Energy is pleased to be part of a successful sustainability concept.
