Energy refurbishment for Bad Honnef sports hall
62 tons of CO2 emissions are to be saved by the newly renovated sports hall in the south of Germany, because the city's goal is not only to promote sports, but also to protect the climate.
Thus, in the course of the energy renovation, lightweight & flexible DAS Energy PV modules were integrated into the new AluPlusSolar roof covering from Kalzip. In this way, a total of 614 DAS Energy PV modules of the type 12x2M 120Wp from Werhand GmbH & Co were installed. The installed capacity of the PV system is 74 kWp.
"Since April, the hall has been brought to a completely new technical and energy standard. Roofs and walls have been renovated and insulated, a 440-square-meter photovoltaic system with a peak output of 80 kilowatts now operates on the 1,700-square-meter roof, and a completely new heating system in the hall ensures that the hall should soon shed its old nickname of "ice rink,"" says Holger Heuser, First Alderman of the City of Bad Honnef. The PV modules used were specially designed for metal surfaces such as standing seam roofs and can be bonded directly to the metal using Innotec's adhesive system.
