Funding for energy self-sufficient farms
Sustainability and independence - two terms that are becoming increasingly important on modern farms. The good news is that there are attractive funding opportunities to install photovoltaic systems and become energy self-sufficient! Since 2023, the Austrian Federal Government's Climate and Energy Fund has provided a budget of 100 million euros as part of the "Security of supply in rural areas - energy self-sufficient farms ” program. This will support agriculture and forestry with environmentally friendly investments. The funding includes measures to increase energy efficiency, the expansion of renewable energies, sustainable mobility and investments in energy management.
