OMV and the energy transition
By the end of the year, with the help of DAS Energy, a total of 46 filling stations of the international oil, gas and chemical giant OMV, based in Vienna, are to be equipped with a total of 1.5 MWp solar collectors. In concrete terms, this means between 30-60 kWp of installed photovoltaic power per filling station. 100% of the clean electricity is used in the internal petrol station shops and covers up to 16% of the total consumption of a petrol station. Every year, up to 18 tons of CO2 are saved per OMV filling station.
