DAS Energy on the roof of the University of Freiburg
In spring 2022, a customized PV solution was installed on the West Building of the Institute of Physics at the University of Freiburg using solar modules from Austrian PV manufacturer DAS Energy. With an output of 54 kWp, the system produces around 50,000 kWh of electricity per year and saves up to 17 tons of CO2 annually.
The installed lightweight GRP-based 12x2 FJB modules are each equipped with 24 monocrystalline cells and provide an output of 120 Wp. The module dimensions were chosen to suit installation on a Kalzip sheet metal roofing system. The photovoltaic modules were bonded directly to the sheet metal roofing using the INNOTEC adhesive system.
Consulting, planning and completion of the PV system was realized by the project and installation team of DAS Energy.
