Vöslauer Mineralwasser GmbH launches regional photovoltaic citizen participation model
At the end of 2022, the second large photovoltaic system on the roof of Vöslauer Mineralwasser GmbH was successfully completed and commissioned in December. Since then, the lightweight and flexible DAS Energy solar modules of type 11x6M 330Wp have already produced 51.92 MWh and saved 17,160 tons of CO2 emissions. A total of 1344 PV modules were directly bonded to the foil roof, resulting in an installed capacity of 433 kWp.
Jointly expanding green energy for a climate-neutral future
Together with the energy consulting company Power Solution, the PV project was planned in the form of a regional photovoltaic citizen participation model. Employees of the mineral warcompany and residents of Bad Vöslau have the opportunity to purchase the installed solar modules and lease them to Power Solution in return for an energy bonus. More information on the project is available at www.power-solution.eu/voeslau.
The mineral water company has thus succeeded in creating a forward-looking project in which citizens can profit - and at the same time contribute to the energy transition.
"We are pleased to contribute with this project to the expansion of renewable energies and especially to invest together with our employees and the Bad Vöslauer*innen in a climate-neutral future",
says the Vöslauer managing director duo Herbert Schlossnikl and Birgit Aichinger. (meinbezirk.at)
