DAS Energy photovoltaics in the listed area
In city centers, photovoltaics are rarely used for electricity and heat. Often, the protection of historical monuments stands in the way of the energy turnaround. This is now about to change in Augsburg's listed city center.
Thanks to the long efforts of private individual Hans-Peter Fischer, a pilot system has now been installed on a private standing seam roof in the city center. On an area of 32m2 33 DAS Energy PV modules of the type 12x2M 120Wp were installed. The modules were glued directly between the seams of the dark gray metal roof. The installed power of the system is 5.23 kWp.
DAS Energy PV system as a showcase project for Augsburg city center
Since the dark gray modules perfectly match the conditions of the historic appearance of the city of Augsburg in weight (only 3.3 kg/m2), color and shape, this successful pilot project is now officially considered a showcase roof for upcoming roofs of this type in the listed old town area.
Already since the end of 2021, a new guideline for photovoltaic systems in listed areas is being developed, which takes into account the current requirements of the city of Augsburg. The guideline is intended to facilitate the installation of PV systems in listed areas under certain conditions and serve as a planning aid.
